Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last modified: May 28, 2026
1. Subscription Billing Rules
Smart QR Review operates as a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform with upfront, manual billing cycles (monthly, 6 months, or annually) depending on the plan you select (Starter, Growth, Pro, or Premium).
- Upfront Payment: All plan purchases are charged upfront for the selected duration.
- No Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions do not auto-renew. The platform does not store cards for automatic debits or charge users automatically upon plan expiry.
- Manual Actions: Users must manually renew or upgrade their plan after expiration if they wish to continue using premium services.
2. Starter Plan 3-Day Trial Conditions
We offer new Merchants a **3-Day Trial** when signing up for our Starter Plan. This trial allows you to explore the dashboard and set up a review bridge with no credit card required.
Automatic Expiration (No Auto-Billing)
Your 3-day trial begins the moment you complete registration. There is **no automatic conversion** to a paid plan and **no automatic payment deduction** at the end of the trial period.
After 3 days, the Starter trial expires automatically. Access to the dashboard features will be downgraded or restricted, and you must manually purchase a paid plan to unlock standard routing bridges.
3. Cancellations & Active Plan Lifespan
Once a subscription plan is purchased and activated, it remains active with all premium features unlocked until the purchased duration expires.
- No Midway Cancellations: Users cannot cancel an active subscription midway to stop the plan immediately and request a refund.
- Expiry Access: If you decide to stop using the service, your plan will simply run its course until the original expiration date, after which it will naturally downgrade to the limited Starter plan.
4. Strict Refund Rules (All Sales Final)
Because our services are digital and instantly provisioned upon payment confirmation, we enforce a strict refund policy:
“All subscription purchases are final.”
“No refunds, prorated credits, or partial reimbursements will be provided once a subscription has been activated.”
“Users are responsible for reviewing plan details and limits before making a purchase.”
Active plans will remain active with full features until the purchased cycle expires, regardless of utilization.
5. Payment Failures During Checkout
Since we do not support recurring subscription charges, card retry logic, automatic grace periods, or suspension queues for failed recurring charges do not apply.
If a manual payment fails during checkout (due to bank declines, insufficient funds, or verification errors), the transaction is blocked, and the subscription will not activate. You must complete a successful checkout transaction to upgrade your plan.
6. Plan Upgrades & Expiry Downgrades
You can change your subscription tier or extend plan durations through the dashboard at any time:
- Upgrades: When upgrading to a higher plan, you manually pay for the new tier, which starts immediately and runs for the selected duration.
- Downgrades and Expiration: When any paid plan (Growth, Pro, Premium) expires, the system automatically downgrades the profile to the Starter plan. Limited dashboard access applies, but your business configurations, reviews, and customer data remain safely stored.
